OROL Youth Empowerment’s Partnership with Maryland Food BankFeed Communities, Feed Families, Feed Hope (FFF)

OROL Youth Empowerment is proud to announce our recent partnership with the Maryland Food Bank, launching an impactful initiative titled Feed Communities, Feed Families, Feed Hope (FFF). This project is dedicated to supporting underprivileged communities in Baltimore City, Maryland, by providing much-needed nutritious food to children and families.

Through this initiative, OROL operates a robust community pantry, Pantry on the Go (POTG), along with a dedicated food bank station. As partners with the Maryland Food Bank, we implement a same-day distribution model. Large deliveries of food are received, unloaded, and distributed directly to food-insecure communities during our “pop-up” events, ensuring immediate access to essential resources.

As Network Partners with the Maryland Food Bank, OROL also gains access to both donated and optional purchased products. We contribute to food costs by paying shared maintenance fees for donated goods and costs for purchased items. This outreach initiative is designed to ensure that children and families receive the nutritious food necessary for healthy growth and development.

What sets our approach apart is the active involvement of various age groups, including young people, seniors, and middle-aged families, in leading these programs. This engagement not only addresses immediate needs but also instills values that will positively influence future generations.

The youth of OROL play a pivotal role in our on-ground outreach efforts, working tirelessly to reduce hunger and food insecurity. In addition to developing their leadership skills, they are being educated on how to access and promote nutritious foods, understanding the profound benefits that healthy eating brings to entire families.

Through Feed Communities, Feed Families, Feed Hope, OROL Youth Empowerment is making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most, while empowering the next generation to lead with compassion and dedication.
